Admirals Make Initial Roster Cuts

The Milwaukee Admirals have shaken up their Training Camp Roster ahead of tonight’s pre-season contest against the Chicago Wolves at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. The Admirals have reassigned Angelo Miceli and Trevor Mingoia to the Norfolk Admirals in the ECHL. The team also released Erik Bradford, Brandon Denham, and T.J. Melancon from their professional try-out contracts.

Nine Assigned to Milwaukee

Following the initial roster cuts made by the Nashville Predators and a successful pre-season game on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets yesterday: the next wave of cuts have arrived. Today’s roster moves come on the eve of Training Camp opening up for the Milwaukee Admirals tomorrow. There will now be an additional nine players added to that group participating at the MSOE Kern Center.

Adam Payerl Signs with Providence Bruins

The confusing off-season saga has come to a close. Adam Payerl finally has himself a home for the 2017-18 season and it will be in the AHL’s Eastern Conference with the Providence Bruins. It is a one-year AHL contract. Payerl is coming off of completing a two-way contract with the Nashville Predators where he spent the past two seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals.

Admirals Roundtable 101

Today marks Day 1 of Training Camp for the Nashville Predators. There are plenty of names in the mix to keep an eye on because it isn’t long before the Milwaukee Admirals will be opening up their Training Camp prior to the start of the 2017-18 season. It’s with that in mind that we feel it best to get everyone set, old and new, for a new campaign here at Admirals Roundtable before we shift into maximum overdrive. Let’s go over the groundwork for some of “what” and “when” we do things.

Predators Rookie & Training Camp Roster

Yesterday, the Nashville Predators announced their Pre-Season schedule and rosters for both the Rookie Tournament and following Training Camp. The Rookie Tournament roster can be found here and the Training Camp roster can be found here. Both are subject to change but offer a quick glimpse into those competing in a week’s time. Also, for the uniform enthusiast, you might notice quite a few members of the Milwaukee Admirals getting either brand new rookie numbers or their choice of uniform numbers.

Marek Mazanec Signs with HC Slovan Bratislava

This saga has finally come to its completion. Marek Mazanec has officially signed with HC Slovan Bratislava in Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). In the release from the Slovakian club it states a mutual terms of release between Mazanec and the Nashville Predators after having signed a new one-year, two-way contract at the end of July.

Jonas Gunnarsson Joining HV71

It might not be as complicated as the Marek Mazanec saga but Jonas Gunnarsson has just been loaned to HV71 from the Malmö Redhawks in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Gunnarsson has signed a two-year contract with Malmö in January 2016 months prior to officially signing with the Nashville Predators. His loan with HV71 will last until 31 October, 2017. The SHL season starts league play on 16 September, 2017.
