Black Aces; Nine Recalled to Nashville

The Black Aces are finally on their way. The Nashville Predators have recalled Frédérick Gaudreau, Harry Zolnierczyk, Brandon Bollig, Tyler Gaudet, Emil Pettersson, Alex Carrier, Petter Granberg, Fred Allard, and Troy Grosenick from the Milwaukee Admirals. The Predators host the Colorado Avalanche at the Bridgestone Arena tonight at 8:30 PM CDT. A victory tonight would see the Predators through to the next round of the 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Lindbäck Recalled to Nashville

The Nashville Predators have recalled Anders Lindbäck from the Milwaukee Admirals. The 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs started last night for the Predators with a 5-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche at the Bridgestone Arena. Lindbäck was listed as a healthy scratch on the night as he will serve as the team’s third goaltender for the playoff run.

The Predators next game is Saturday at 2:00 PM CDT in Nashville. The Admirals were eliminated from playoff contention Tuesday night and will end the 2017-18 regular season schedule Friday and Saturday against the Iowa Wild. The rest of the “Black Aces” are expected to be recalled following the completion of the Admirals season.

Predators Sign Niclas Westerholm to Entry-Level Contract

The Nashville Predators have signed goaltender Niclas Westerholm to a three-year entry-level contract. This news follows yesterday’s entry-level signing of Tanner Jeannot by the Predators. Westerholm, a Finnish native, now joins Troy Grosenick as a goaltender under contract for next season who could potentially be in the Milwaukee Admirals net for the 2018-19 season.

Eeli Tolvanen Signs Entry Level Contract with Nashville

The Nashville Predators officially signed forward Eeli Tolvanen to a three-year entry level contract this morning. The native of Vihti, Finland was selected thirtieth overall by the Nashville Predators in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft. He spent this season in Russia’s KHL with Jokerit where he set a league record for the highest scoring season by a teenage player.

Ramage and Gaudet Acquired for Murphy, Labrie, and Army

The Nashville Predators have traded forward Pierre-Cédric Labrie and defenseman Trevor Murphy to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for defenseman John Ramage and forward Tyler Gaudet. In addition, the Milwaukee Admirals have traded forward Derek Army to the Tucson Roadrunners for future considerations.
