The Nashville Predators have recalled Anders Lindbäck from the Milwaukee Admirals. The 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs started last night for the Predators with a 5-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche at the Bridgestone Arena. Lindbäck was listed as a healthy scratch on the night as he will serve as the team’s third goaltender for the playoff run.

The Predators next game is Saturday at 2:00 PM CDT in Nashville. The Admirals were eliminated from playoff contention Tuesday night and will end the 2017-18 regular season schedule Friday and Saturday against the Iowa Wild. The rest of the “Black Aces” are expected to be recalled following the completion of the Admirals season.

Lindbäck has been the Admirals MVP this season. The Swede had a record 31-20-3-2 from 56 starts with a 2.82 goals against average and 0.908 save percentage. Back on the Admirals first School Day Game of the season he earned a 29-save shutout. It was his lone shutout of the season.

Upon his recall Lindbäck is tied for the AHL lead in wins (31) with Alex Nedeljkovic. He will end the AHL season as the league leader in goaltender appearances (56), minutes played (3382:32), and shots against (1736). He has made more saves (1577) than the next closest goaltender has faced in shots against.
