Admirals Trim Roster

Congratulations Julien Brouillette!

He’s the only free-agent invite that survived the first round of Admirals cuts.

Dylan Hunter and Jeremy Smith were both re-assigned to Cincy (they’re both currently under contract).

Brett Robinson and Jean-Claude Sawyer were released to Cincy (they’re not under contract).

Connor Shields and Wes Cunningham were released to Greenville.

RJ Anderson and Kevin DeVergilio were released to Elmira.

And Chad Painchaud was released to Victoria.

Looks like Mike Bartlett may have played his way on to the roster.

We may still get a player or two from Nashville depending on waiver claims.  But we’ll be able to start daydreaming about line combinations in the next few days.

Stay tuned.

awesome, glad to see Brouillette get a further chance. I really felt he made so many smart plays in the defensive zone last night, but as I said, the Nashville organization is so deep at D it may be tough to squeeze in.

Based on what you and Aaron Sims said, it sounds like Bartlett is giving 150% to make the team, its always good to have a high energy guy like that around to put pressure on the others.

None of the other guys impressed me very much

What number was Brouillette? We didn’t have a roster.

My first thought is that they may keep him around until Roman Josi is fully recovered from his wrist injury. But there may be more to it than that. We’ll see if this is temporary or if he’s played his way into a defensive rotation of some kind.

    Pronounced: Brew-yet
