The Milwaukee Admirals are a day away from the first of their two pre-season contests. As far as forward lines and defensive pairings are concerned – things didn’t change from Day 1 on Day 2 of Training Camp. The thought was Cody Bass would be arriving today after being placed on waivers Monday -but- the veteran forward isn’t in Milwaukee just yet.

Everything was pretty much spot on as yesterday. It did feel like the primary lifting in net though went towards the two guys competing for the back-up role to Anders Lindbäck. At this point I would be putting Matt O’Connor over Jake Paterson. I see a bit more confidence in how O’Connor works. I feel there is a glaring weakness high stick-side on Paterson that is being routinely exploited in these first two practice sessions at the MSOE Kern Center. It’s not a knock on his all-around play – but he’s going to want to work better clamping down that right post if he’s fighting to get into or stay in Milwaukee this season.

Today’s interview session took place at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. We caught up with Alex Carrier, Jimmy Oligny, Pierre-Cédric Labrie, and Tyler Kelleher – with a cameo appearance from Trevor Murphy.

What are you expecting out of tomorrow’s first pre-season contest against the Rockford IceHogs? Will you be traveling down for the game?
