2017-18 Milwaukee Admirals Schedule Released

The AHL has officially unveiled the 2017-18 schedule. The Milwaukee Admirals season will begin Saturday October 7th on the road against the Iowa Wild and their home opener will take place on Friday October 20th against the Hershey Bears.

It feels as though the first month and a half of the season is rather stretched out before the games really pack up against the Admirals. This season there are only three weekends of three-in-three hockey. In fact, the first three-in-three weekend doesn’t take place until mid-December. It’s rather nice seeing three-in-three’s slowly getting reduced in the AHL – at the very least – on the Admirals side of things. It isn’t entirely the case for some teams in the Eastern Conference.

Speaking of which, the Admirals will see a return of Eastern Conference opposition when they face-off against the Hershey Bears and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this season. Both teams already have a nice history against the Admirals as both were opponents faced by the Admirals in their two Calder Cup Finals appearances: 2004 against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 2006 against Hershey.

The School Day Games will also be back. The Admirals will once again host two AM games this coming season with the first coming on Wednesday November 8th at 10:30 AM CST against the Chicago Wolves. The second of the two School Day Games will take place on Wednesday March 7th at 10:30 AM CST against the Manitoba Moose.

  1. I bought my tickets today. There’s no “Oh I really wanna see that team” date this year, as I went down to Rockford to see the Reign last season and I hate anything associated with the Penguins. Interested in Hershey, since I follow the Caps. For the first time I’m waiting for the promo schedule to pick my games. Very different process for me this year!

  2. Looks like Admirals brass gets alot request for teams from the Eastern Conference. So, they are pushing Hershey and Ontario who are coming to UWM Panther Arena.

I believe the Admirals will go back to having the concert series back to Saturdays. It’s a must to get a Flex Plan as you avoid. Saturday, Arena and Concert fees which can add $9 dollars more per ticket to your cost.

Pretty neat 3 games fall during Thanksgiving week and two games during the Christmas break. Christmas break last season had huge crowds at UWM Panther Arena.

  3. I went to the March 8 day game last season. It was okay. The kids were loud.

I like the idea of seeing Hershey and WB/S.

I don’t like the four games in six days road trip at the end of February. Manitoba for 2 games then Texas for 2 more? That is a 3,700 mile round trip! The Admirals are going to need the six days off after that trip. That is half way to New Delhi, India or 200 more miles than flying round trip to Mexico City.

  4. Thanks Dan. I thought it was weird when I saw the logo, that it looks like the Kings logo. I said, weird the LA Kings AHL team is in Ontario, Ca. LOL

  5. Went back to the Admirals tweet, the point still stands, as the Admirals are pushing a team in Ontario they never have played. I just had the conference and country wrong. Plus, Hershey for the first time since 2006, I believe.

  6. Matt, yes I’m a Flex Plan person. I used to lock all my games down early to get good seats and then would sometimes end up missing promos I wanted. This year I was told I could pick my seats now but if a full or half season person wanted them I would get bumped. :(
