Tonight’s game turned into a bit of a thriller: a 6-5 victory over the Lake Erie Monsters. After the game I spoke with Dean Evason, Scott Darling, and Filip Forsberg to hear their thoughts on a wild goal fest of a hockey game.

Key Quotes

“All in all, we like the effort that our hockey club put in. Clearly we didn’t think that we should be shorthanded as much as we were in the third period. There was some strange things going on out there.” Dean Evason.

“You saw the penalties right? So, that’s what happened. Simple as that.” Dean Evason.

“Talk about [Filip Forsberg’s] shot. My gosh. Stan [Drulia] and I talked about that. The one where he just kind of flips it over backhand-forehand and shoots it. I don’t know how guys shoot that well. Obviously, there are guys in the NHL that do that on a regular basis but we don’t see that a whole lot here. And clearly it’s world class.” Dean Evason.

“I didn’t play good tonight at all. The boys bailed me out. When they score six goals there is no way you should ever lose a game. It shouldn’t have been that close. I guess I just made it interesting.” Scott Darling.

“It’s a great opportunity for me to come here and play a lot and play with great guys. [Miikka Salomaki and Colton Sissons] are doing a great job for me and also the power-play has been working pretty good too.” Filip Forsberg.

Response to the dialogue and game tonight? Thoughts?
