The Home Opener

After a long offseason, the Admirals will return to the Bradley Center tonight for the first home game of the 2011-12 season.

Admirals and Wolves.  Tonight at 7.  Get there early as they’ll introduce the whole roster (and you can learn how to pronounce Lajunen), and there will be a special pregame tribute to the family members the team lost over the summer.

As for the game itself….. In the comments section, give me three things you want to see tonight.

  1. 1. We need to score more goals than Chi.
    2. We need to out hustle Chi.
    3. We need to be more physical than Chi.

Give me these 3 things and we win…. Especially if we score more goals than they do.

  2. That’s pretty funny…nice job.

    1. I want to see a 3rd defensive pairing that doesn’t make us cringe. They held their own against Peoria, but yeah, that’s just one game.

    2. I want to see a power play that looks like it knows what it’s doing.

    3. I want to see a big crowd, and hear an excited crowd at the Bradley Center.

  3. 1- I want to see the Brewers game on the jumbotron that way I can keep my eye on the action on the ice, and have the brewers game right there

2- I want to see a decent crowd to welcome in the new season. Obviously the more ads fans, the better, and hopefully the team gives them a reason to get loud, and into the game from the get go. Will there be a decent Chicago crowd tonight? The Cubs don’t play tonight do they? LOL

3- I want to see a win. Coach’s home debut, first game of the Amtrak Rivalry (that trophy and $5 will get you a $5 foot long at Subway) and as my mom would say…if you don’t win the opener…you can’t serve beer.

  4. Looking forward to watching the skillful high energy line of Bourque-Mueller-Thang . All three of those players bring more to the ice each game then current Nashville Predator Niclas Bergfors.

Watching NHL greats Kirk Muller and Chicago’s Craig MacTavish behind the bench in there first AHL season.

Seeing John Bitter , Aaron Sims , and Charlie Larson all there are good guys with a great sense of humor. Big part of the Admiral’s team off the ice .

Last but not least . Very much looking foward to seeing Ryan Miller wearing his “NEW – GOLD” Nashville Predators ” Smith – 15 ” jersey .

  5. HA! That is outstanding. I’ll wear it proudly for sure.

Word is that Bourque won’t play this weekend after getting banged up a bit in practice during the week. So that’s a bummer, for sure. And we’ll have to wait a bit to see that Bourque – Mueller – Thang line in action…

  6. 1. A Frosty performance by the Ads.

    2. Wolves fans leaving early so that we can enjoy a blowout Admirals win.

    3. Scott Ford Punching a Wolves player in the face.
