Chris Mueller’s NHL Debut

Hat-tip to MiB for pointing me to this…

Want a feel good story to get the taste of Tuesday night’s game out of your mouth?  Check out this great article by Jim Diamond, about Chris Mueller’s debut.

Chris’ line:  With Nick Spaling and Wade Belak.  Later on with Smithson and Ward.  Zero shots, -1 defensively, 1-1 on faceoffs, 1 hit.  3:17 of ice time.  More than Belak’s 1:54, but next lowest was Spaling’s 11:17.

  1. Unfortunately, Chris has not yet practiced with the Preds so his ice time was bound to be limited tonight. Looked good on a few occasions and out of sorts in others. A good debut overall. If he stays, he’ll get a couple practices with the team and is bound to earn more ice.

  2. I thought he looked pretty good, didn’t seem out of place. Nice story though. Very classy of the Preds orginization to fly his framily in to see him play. I hope he gets a chance to stay there for a couple more games.

  3. Probably depends on when Legwand comes back or they have to keep playing Belak for his 2 minutes. Hoping he gets to stay there for the Wild game on Friday.
