The Milwaukee Admirals won 1-0 against the Cleveland Monsters at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Wednesday night.

Right out of gates this game was a goaltending duel with two NHL-ready goaltenders leading their respective squads. Juuse Saros would stop all 27 shots he faced while Joonas Korpisalo stopped 29/30 shots. The lone goal came off the stick of Trevor Murphy in the second period and that’s all the Admirals would need as Saros earned his sixth career AHL shutout. The Admirals have now won three straight games for the first time since opening the season on a four-game win streak.

“We’ve played well on a consistent basis here as of late,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason of the team’s recent run. “Fortunately we’re getting rewarded for it. We can reinforce that. But we really played the right way tonight. We weren’t great but we weren’t bad. We were just a really sound and steady group and got rewarded for it.”

Shootout; Admirals Beat Wild 4-3

(Game Recap: Nicholas Hatch. Photo Credit: Scott Paulus.)

The Milwaukee Admirals won 4-3 in a shootout against the Iowa Wild at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Friday night.

The game started out great for the home team, but the Admirals lost some momentum in the second and third periods. After some calls by the officials that had some Admirals fans scratching their heads, the Admirals seemed to lose some energy. However, Anthony Richard’s two goals and Harry Zolnierczyk’s game-tying goal and game-winning goal guided the Admirals to a thrilling shootout victory.

“Harry has been outstanding for us all year,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason after the game. “He’s been not only good on the ice he’s been real good off the ice. He has energy every day.”

Mistakes Made; Admirals Lose 4-2 to Griffins

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 4-2 against the Grand Rapids Griffins at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Wednesday night.

It appears as though the ups and downs of the 2017 side of the calendar have translated into 2018. The Admirals trailed early and couldn’t get back on even terms and that sees their five-game point streak come to an end tonight at the hands of a Griffins team that has now won four-straight.

“What we did tonight is we gave them four goals,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason after the game. “Each goal we messed up in some manner in order to give them that great opportunity. And it can’t happen.”

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 4-3 in overtime on the road against the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Van Andel Arena on Sunday night.

Both teams entered tonight’s game riding a four-game point streak. After seeing three third period goals the Admirals made sure that both would continue. The incredible rally forced overtime but a power-play goal from Matthew Ford would see the Griffins come out on the right side of this contest tonight.

Lindbäck Shines; Ads Win 3-2 in Shootout

The Milwaukee Admirals won 3-2 in a shootout against the Chicago Wolves at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Friday night.

The classic rivalry between the Admirals and Wolves lived up to the hype, as this one needed a shootout to decide a victor. Even with the Admirals getting outshot, they proved to be too much for the Wolves, winning 3-2 in a shootout. Justin Kirkland and Frédérick Gaudreau netted shootout goals while Anders Lindbäck used every inch of his six foot-six inch frame to help guide the Admirals to victory.

“I think we’ve grown as a team over the last month here,” said Lindbäck after the win. “I think we’re getting better all the time. We still need to figure out a way to play a full sixty-minutes and eliminate a couple of mistakes here and there. But I still believe we’re making progress.”

The Milwaukee Admirals fell 3-2 in overtime against the Chicago Wolves at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Wednesday night.

This contest really had a little bit of everything you would hope out of a rivalry game. Unfortunately the Admirals could only take the lone point on the evening. Jake Walmann would net the game-winning goal in overtime to get the Wolves point streak up to eight-games.

“Overall, I thought it was a great hockey game,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason after the game. “It had a lot in it. Good pace for coming off of Christmas break. Execution was good. It was a fun hockey game. They get the last shot but we’re very happy with our effort for sure.”

The Milwaukee Admirals won 5-2 on the road against the Cleveland Monsters at the Quicken Loans Arena on Friday night.

Tonight was the most explosive night for the Admirals in what feels like ages. They haven’t scored five goals in a game since the sixth game of the season – twenty-one games ago. This was a very well-rounded effort that saw the French Fries really shine on the score sheet.

Up-Down; Admirals Lose 4-2 in Chicago

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 4-2 on the road against the Chicago Wolves at the Allstate Arena on Sunday evening.

Despite getting out in front first, and having a tremendous effort in net today by Jake Paterson, the Wolves would do just enough to fend off the Admirals today. The win is the fifth straight for the Wolves and the Admirals end the three-in-three weekend on a slightly sour note.
