The Milwaukee Admirals won 4-1 against the Rockford IceHogs at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Friday night.

After scoring in the opening two minutes: the Admirals hit a bit of a lull. With just seven shots through two periods it was a feat of its own to be tied heading to the third. The Admirals would break out in a big way, however, scoring three goals within four minutes to pull away late. Backed by Emil Pettersson’s two goals, and Anders Lindbäck’s strong play, the Admirals put an end to their three-game skid.

“We talked after the game that two points is two points,” commented Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason after the game. “Obviously it wasn’t how we drew it up but [Lindbäck] was really good, held us in there.”

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 3-1 on the road against the Texas Stars at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Friday night.

This was close to being like the first meeting of the season against the Stars. Mike McKenna was nearly perfect in net for the Stars and he would only be beaten late by Trevor Murphy. McKenna has stopped all but one of the sixty-five shots he has faced against the Admirals in the two games played this past week. The Admirals have now lost their past two games and will need a rebound result tomorrow night.

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 6-3 on the road against the Manitoba Moose at the Bell MTS Place on Wednesday night.

Things at home haven’t been great for the Central Division leaders but the Moose snapped their five-game home losing streak tonight. Yet, the skill displayed took a backseat to the lunacy of one Brendan Lemieux who triggered a brawl and subsequent goalie fight by taking a shot after the final horn sounded tonight.

The Milwaukee Admirals won 3-2 on the road against the Manitoba Moose on Monday afternoon at Bell MTS Place.

After a dominant opening period it felt like Frédérick Gaudreau and the Admirals were on their way to a special afternoon on Family Day in Canada. Gaudreau netted two goals in the first period but the Admirals would be forced to cling to their opening three goal first period all the way to the final horn. Anders Lindbäck and company managed to thwart a massive push from the Moose in the third period to secure the victory this afternoon in Manitoba.

Radio Silence; Admirals Shutout 1-0

The Milwaukee Admirals were shutout 1-0 against the Texas Stars at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Saturday afternoon.

In what would become a defensive game, both the Admirals and the Stars received some impressive play out of their starting goalies. The Stars were led by Mike McKenna’s 28-save shutout in the win, while Anders Lindbäck allowed just one goal for the Admirals in a losing effort. This is the fourth time this season the Admirals have been shutout and the loss snaps a five-game point streak.

“We thought we played good. We just didn’t score,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason following the game. “Our power-play had to score. We generated on our power-play, majority of our chances were on our power-play, but we need to capitalize on it.”

First Shootout Setback; Admirals Lose 5-4 to Rampage

The Milwaukee Admirals lost 5-4 in a shootout against the San Antonio Rampage at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Wednesday night.

For the first time this season the Admirals have lost a shootout. They entered the night having won all six shootouts that they had participated in and had the likes of Justin Kirkland scoring on all five attempts. Yet, Kirkland and so many more would miss. Brendan Ranford would be the lone man to score in the final run of Round 5 in tonight’s shootout to get the Rampage the win. The Admirals do earn a point on the evening to extend their point streak to five-games.

“[San Antonio] is a desperate team,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason after the game. “They’ve come in, struggled here on their road trip, and we obviously knew that. What we liked is we were as desperate as they were to start the hockey game. That’s a good sign for us that the group did the right things motivating to get out there and play with that desperation. [San Antonio] plays a hard game. And we did too.”

Weekend Sweep; Admirals Beat the Heat 5-4

The Milwaukee Admirals won 5-4 against the Stockton Heat at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Sunday night.

The Admirals swept the three-in-three weekend and this was one of the wildest games of the season. The Admirals were in a constant uphill battle. They took their first lead late in the third period and managed to fend off a late power-play chance from the Heat to make it a four-game winning streak.

“What we liked about tonight’s game was how disciplined we were,” said Milwaukee Admirals head coach Dean Evason after the game. “We’ve had some problems with some penalties in the past that their team struggled a little bit with. We stayed composed. We seemed to do a lot more good things in tonight’s hockey game than poor things.”

Thriller; Admirals Comeback To Win 5-4 in OT

(Game Recap: Nicholas Hatch. Photo Credit: Scott Paulus.)

The Milwaukee Admirals won 5-4 in overtime against the San Antonio Rampage Saturday night at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

This game had a little bit of everything tonight. Former Admiral Félix Girard racked up two goals in his second game back to Milwaukee. This seemed to be the Rampage’s night but Admirals captain Trevor Smith had the late heroics by scoring the game-tying goal with 9.4 seconds remaining in regulation to force this game to overtime. That’s where the stage was made for Alex Carrier to score a power-play goal in overtime in front of a packed crowd.
