Press Release via Nashville Predators:
Nashville, Tenn. (May 6, 2018) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Sunday that the club has reassigned forwards Brandon Bollig, Emil Pettersson and Tyler Gaudet, and defenseman Frederic Allard to the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals.
The Predators return to Winnipeg to take on the Jets in Game 6 of their second round series on Monday evening at Bell MTS Place. Down 3-2 in the series, Nashville seeks to force a Game 7 at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, May 10. Coverage for Monday’s Game 6 begins at 7:30 p.m. CT on 102.5 The Game.
All this move means, really, is that the likes of Allard, Bollig, Gaudet, and Pettersson get to head on home and get going on their off-season conditioning plans. Allard and Pettersson will be back inside the organization. The same can also be said of Gaudet who the Predators signed to a new contract prior to the Black Aces being recalled. Bollig is set to become an unrestricted free agent this Summer after he was acquired by the Predators from the San Jose Sharks organization.
This means the remaining Black Aces are: Frédérick Gaudreau, Harry Zolnierczyk, Alex Carrier, Petter Granberg, as well as Anders Lindbäck and Troy Grosenick. The depth in Nashville this season has been such that Gaudreau was the lone call up from the Milwaukee Admirals this entire season that played. That’s a plot thread that has continued in the playoffs for the Predators as injuries haven’t been near as significant or numerous as a season prior.
